How Do I start? |
For initial patient: consultation & assessment
To start the chelation treatment in the Vita Centre, the patient firstly needs to go through a consultation and assessment process. Currently, to start chelation therapy at the Vita Centre, the patient needs to follow one of the consultation and assessment procedures listed below: |

Procedure 1. Appointments |
-with Paul Ameisen for 1 hour (to establish health history and examination)
-with Dr Lyn Tendek or Dr Peter Dobie for 20 minutes (to establish a treatment plan) The treatment plan is valid for 12 months |

Diagnosis & tests: |
a.) A standard blood test (medicare) or a recent blood test result (within the past 6 months) to check kidney function and other parameters.
b.) LISTEN computer test with Gary Turner for the diagnosis of infections, vitamin and mineral deficiencies as well as heavy metal toxicity. Allergies to foods and the environment are also included in the testing. This is not compulsory, but It is highly recommended. |

- with Dr Peter Dobie for 1 hour.

What to expect during the chelation treatment? |
Chelation is achieved through a painless intravenous drip over approximately one to three hours. Depending on the condition, anywhere between 1 and 30 sessions may be recommended. Medical practitioners trained in chelation therapy also will prescribe dietary and lifestyle changes along with nutritional supplementation to complement the results of the chelation therapy for long term health and disease prevention. Mild side effects may include minor discomfort at the site where the needle enters the vein, dizziness, headache, low blood sugar or skin flushing and increased thirst.
